His highchairness
People ask me sometimes "What is Yuri's recent big accomplishment?" and I go quiet for a moment (because as any parent knows I'm still dwelling on the awesomeness of what was in his last diaper). I have to say that 3 recent events have happened which compete for WOW for me.
1. He strokes the cat, and the cat doesn't bite him. He has achieved something the grownups can't.
2. He sleeps 6-8 hours *sometimes*.
3. He is really really excited about sitting in his highchair and having mealtime.
Here's a picture of #3

Dragonspeak
Yuri likes to stick a thumb in his mouth and start talking... he's not yet comfy with the idea that I'm behind the camera, so he tends to scowl a bit, but is his first audio web appearance!

4 Month Check up!
As advertised and promised, behold our handsome little man, in the 25th percentile for height and weight. He's 13 lbs, 5 oz, 24" tall and has a 42 cm head circumference. Additionally, Dr. Hamdani says that he has an 'intellectual forehead'. Way to go, son!

7 Week checkup
We went in for the 7 week checkup on Monday. It was actually the 51 day checkup (you'll see why that's important in a moment.
The nurse took all his vitals and here's the run-down:
head circumference: 38.5 cm
height: 22 inches
weight: 10 lbs. 2 oz.
That's a lifetime average of one ounce per day. Wow!
After the weighing and measuring, Dr. Hamdani admired our Yuri's muscle tone and pronounced him 'delicious'. She also told us that we're perfect parents, leaving us to wonder about all of her other patients...
(Sadie's favourite: Yuri's howler monkey face)
After getting all of his booster shots, Yuri promptly turned bright red like a lobster, then fell asleep in his Papa's arms.
